About This Game First and foremost, this game is an experiment in coding a software renderer. It's an engine that renders the image via CPU, without involving the graphics adapter, much like the 90's games did. I wanted to find out if it's possible to code an engine like that from scratch nowadays, and if it can run at 60 FPS on a modern PC. It was a self-imposed challenge. Once I finished the engine, I thought I could make a game with it, an FPS like the early shooters from the 90's. I have to say I was quite impressed with them back in the day, and I've been looking to recreate them for a long time. Thus, this game is a 90's FPS. A simplistic story takes a backseat to pure run-and-gun gameplay. On graphics and visuals: I was creating the visuals based on the imagery from my dreams. I tried to convey the mood and atmosphere of my dreams through level design. I feel like I did a particularly good job on this aspect. I'd be happy to hear some feedback from you on my humble little game! 7aa9394dea Title: Autumn Night 3D ShooterGenre: Action, IndieDeveloper:Sergey BobrovPublisher:Sergey BobrovRelease Date: 9 May, 2017 Autumn Night 3D Shooter Torrent Download [Torrent] autumn night 3d shooter download. autumn night 3d shooter. autumn night 3d shooter. autumn night 3d shooter download. autumn night 3d shooter download. autumn night 3d shooter I really want to like this game, but it's so poorly made. The grapichs are authenticly retro and so is the music, but it's also too quiet. The level design is awful. All the enemies are clumped together in one big open space, giving you very little vantage points to take out enemies individually, and you'll run out of ammo quickly if you try to take them all on at once from a distance and you'll quickly die if you try to take them on up close.. Inferior to modern source ports for Doom/Heretic or any of those older games in nearly every way. I really enjoy tough games, but this is the bad kind of tough. The kind of tough where you die to something and you can't tell what it was, since there were no enemies around at all (I literally started to take damage at random, and then died). The kind of tough where a bullet-sponge boss is put right in your face at the beginning of a level, so that when you die after beating him, you have to cheeze him all over again and waste 5 minutes of your time. Giving an obscene amount of HP to a boss doesn't make for a good bossfight, it just makes it a boring bossfight, a staple of bad game design. There are many other flaws too, such as: the lack of a minimap, maze-like incoherent map design, just 5 weapons apparently, confusing ammo system or representation, lack of save system, extremely dumb enemies, confusing projectile appearance that makes it hard to judge distances. Also, having to kill all enemies in order to proceed introduces the classic issue of hunting down the last two enemies that requires you to systematically search the entire map, which is excruciatingly boring. Weapons also lack punch and the sounds are really bad in general, although functional.Of course it's not entirely bad. I like the art style, it's pretty old school. The music is also pretty alright, the MIDI soundtrack gives it the classic vibe the older games had. The simple run and gun gameplay akin to the older FPSes from Id is also a pro in my book and the main reason I bought this. It's a nice tech demo to show off a personal piece of work in the spirit of the older games, but it's just not very well designed as a game. Stick to Zandronum/GZDoom and explore some wads/mods for the older games, will give you a far better experience, unless you really want to take the nostalgia trip and try something akin to Heretic but worse in nearly every way.. The mechanics of an old fps without any of the design. Bland open environments with arbitrary clusters of enemies, which respawn a few times per level as you collect weapons. It's full of baffling design choices like Doom's charging Demon's equivalent being a tiny figure muted against the background, with a passive attack pattern: grunt, charge, stand around. I found myself comically looking around after a grunt trying to find them. Nothing special, certainly no Doom let alone Heretic\/Hexen, but fun enough, I suppose.. A respectible "Experiment" but a full fleged game with a price tag this is notThe game still drops frames and lacks many basic features a game should haveI think this was a missed opportunity to make a game with a real classic styleMaybe release it as Early Access and build upon the software renderer and contentInstead it seems to be a proof of concept with placeholder sound effects. For a quick gameplay review here's a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjGOc7AbnNY To be honest i really like the game its entertaining and usually i dont like games like this. But this game had depth, intresting settigns, and enough clues for you to figure things out without babysitting you every step of the way. However theresa few glitchy bugs here and there and the interface when respawning could be a little easier but other than that im enjoying it.. Love this gameGood stuff:-gameplay -music-artworkIt's really hard to say if there are any cons worth mentioning. Pretty much any problems it had at launch have been patched out. I guess its a little short, but for the price it's hard to even complain about that. This is a neat game. If you like Heretic or Hexen looking things, thats here. Although the ground is flat like in Wolfenstien, but that's not so much of a bad thing, just something to consider. The level design is cool though, and pulls of some neat tricks. Atmosphere is spooky and dream-like, if that's what the dev is going for he nailed it.I hope the developer makes more games like this. Instant buy. Ten outta ten.... fifteen outta ten.. Finally! :D I followed this masterpiece as it was being developed at the gamedev.ru forum. It was adorable even as an early alpha, it is absolutely gorgeous now.The visuals... Are like a soothing balm for my eyes after all those newfangled games. It uses genuine software renderer to boot! (unlike some ersatz retro-games using shaders to emulate texture distortions), so you may want to lower your screen resolution if your CPU is mammoth coprolite like my Phenom II.It's hardcore: you get killed, you go back to the beginning. The enemies dodge, shuffle around and shoot wiggling projectiles that are hard to predict. The level design facilitates being surprised from behind. And that one secret to get that one weapon...? Unique!
